The Road from Pietersburg to Tzaneen

When you head east from Pietersburg (Polokwane), in a matter of minutes you encounter a huge mountain range with some of the most gorgeous views EVER! Tzaneen is at the foothills of the Wolkberg which are part of the breath-taking Drakensburg Mountain range. This plunges you (literally) into a subtropical paradise as they call it. You go from brown, dead, arid desert to lush, green, tropical HUMIDITY instantly. It’s like walking into a greenhouse.
